Michelle has directed in nearly every place she has lived, with her favorite show being Over the River and Through the Woods. Michelle’s favorite place is still onstage. During college and graduate school, she performed at Cedar Falls Community Theatre and Waterloo Community Playhouse, while also doing backstage work for UNI productions. Some of Michelle’s favorite roles include Sister Amnesia in Nunsense at BrickStreet Theatre; I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change at MCCT and with Charles City’s Stony Point Players. She also enjoyed a brief appearance in the film Field of Dreams. Most recently, she embraced the role of Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music for the Music Man Square/Stebens Children’s Theatre collaboration at NIACC. Michelle thanks Marc for his support and sends love to her two sons, Nic and Noah. She is thrilled to be involved with CST for the first time and grateful for the support of friends and family in the audience. Fun fact: Michelle and Marc are co-owners of Birdsall’s Ice Cream in Mason City. Life is truly sweet!
