Creative Imagination Theatre Camp

Presenting: Aesop's Fables, The Musical
Grades: K - 4th | Completed as of 6/1/2023
Location: Cedar River Complex - Krapek Family Fine Arts Center
Weekdays: Monday - Friday, June 5th - June 16th
Times: 9 AM - 12 PM
Registration Opened February 10th, 2023
Through creative play children in grades K-4 will have an opportunity to create original scenes based on Aesop Fables. Our outstanding teach staff includes CST Artistic Director, Nancy Nickerson Lee and returning teacher,Megan Joy Borgerding.  We are also excited to announce Ben Caron, a Mitchell County native and professional artist based in Los Angeles, CA will be joining our teaching team along with a number of his friends from LA to NYC. Your child will be fully engaged in creating our musical. On Friday, June 16 at 4:00 pm campers will present Aesop's Fables, The Musical for parents, siblings, family and friends.
*Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and 2 compliment tickets for the 2023 CST Season!!!

The Young Actors Theatre Intensive

Presenting: Alice in Wonderland
Grades: 5th - 8th | Completed as of 6/1/2023
Location: Cedar River Complex - Krapek Family Fine Arts Center
Weekdays: Monday - Friday, June 5th - June 16th
Times: 1 PM - 5 PM
Registration Opened February 10th, 2023
Youth in grades 5 – 8  will have an opportunity to prepare and perform a one-act musical  based on a classical book. Experience how a show is put together, learn theater language like upstage/downstage, explore acting skills, such as projecting your voice, confidence on stage and so much more! On Friday, June 16 at 4:00 pm campers will present their show for parents, siblings, family and friends.

Tech Crew Apprenticeship Program

Grades: 7th - 12th | Completed as of 6/1/2023
Location: Cedar River Complex - Krapek Family Fine Arts Center
Interested in set construction, board operations, light and sound design? Students that have finished 8th - 12th grade will have an opportunity to learn from professionals in the industry and work alongside our college tech crew throughout the summer. This is a flexible one-on-one apprenticeship. The Cedar Summerstock staff will design a program that fits your schedule. Email us at info@cedarsummerstock.org if interested.
